Never use a storm drain as a dump for any kind of waste
Non-compostable green waste should be disposed of in the regular garbage cart
Minimize use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides to avoid poisoning waterways and wildlife.
Use biological alternatives to harsh fertilizers or pesticides.
Dispose of chemicals, oil, paint or other toxic material at County Hazardous Materials Division
Protect native stream side vegetation to help prevent bank erosion

Clean streams and attractive green spaces add scenic value to property and homes
Creeks and green belts buffer traffic noise in neighborhoods
Stream corridors provide healthy habitats for wildlife
Clear channels carry storm water safely to the rivers
