Citrus Heights has a history of City sponsored events even before Cityhood. City and community events create a sense of unity, a quality of life to the community and most importantly a great time!
Hot August Bites
Hot August Bites replaced the Concerts in the Park event shared with Sunrise Recreation and Park District. The event parallels the famous Hot August Nights that takes place each year in Reno, NV. The event takes place at Rusch Park and consists of a car show, live music, food trucks, beer garden and free swim in the Rusch pool.
Sunday FunDay is an annual event held on the 4th Sunday of every September held at Rusch Park in Citrus Heights. Sunday FunDay wraps up the summer outdoor events and is partnered with Sunrise Recreation and Park District and The Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce. This is a family friendly event with business, craft, non-profit, and service group vendors. The event consists of free activities for the family which includes inflatables, pony rides, music, K-9 demonstrations and food vendors. All of the activities are free with the exception of food purchases. For more information click here.
