The Citrus Heights City Council approved guidelines for the Temporary Outdoor Program (TOP) at the June 25, 2020 Council meeting. The guidelines allow Citrus Heights businesses to temporarily expand dining and retail service to existing sidewalks and parking lots. Businesses can follow the easy to use guidelines, provided below, to self-certify outdoor services.
Please click here for information about the City’s TOP (Temporary Outdoor Program).
The City will not be enforcing temporary signage standards during this emergency period. We welcome you to use banners or A-frame signs to let the community know you are open!
The Planning Division serves as the information center to assist citizens and the development community in understanding and applying Citrus Heights development policies in accordance with the General Plan, the Zoning Code and other applicable property development standards. The Planning Division can provide information on development processes, land use, zoning, and urban design.
The division also serves as the primary staff support to the Planning Commission and issues tree permits.
