Due to COVID-19 health order restrictions, in lieu of the City’s traditional celebration of Creek Week, this year we are encouraging the community to participate in “Random Acts of Clean- Up!” Just like the random acts of kindness that we’ve seen countless times in Citrus Heights (especially during COVID), we want to celebrate those who choose to clean up our creeks and neighborhoods!
“Random Acts of Clean-Up” can be planned anytime and almost anywhere—even in your own neighborhood! Remember to be safe and keep your clean-ups focused around trails and developed areas. Creek banks can be hazardous, especially during the wet season. Please be safe and approach with extra caution. For a list of tips, how to share your photos, and more, please visit https://creekweek.net#volunteer. Together, we can help make our creeks and streams safer, healthier places for wildlife and people.
