A Holiday Message From the City Manager

Happy Holidays - A Message From the City Manager

Dear Citrus Heights Residents, Business Owners, and Community Advocates,

Chris Boyd headshotAs we celebrate the holiday season, I want to thank you for making this a wonderful year for the City of Citrus Heights. On behalf of our City Hall staff, it is a great privilege to serve this community and we are looking forward to planning exciting things for our future in 2020.

While we gather together with our families and friends, let us be thankful for all we are fortunate to have — both as individuals and as a community.

We are entering the New Year as a City in the midst of transformation. We have work to do, but we are not afraid to face our challenges together, and with a plan. Truly, the people of Citrus Heights and our solid roots as a community remains our greatest asset for growing the City’s reputation as a great place to live, work, and raise a family. We have had some great successes this past year:

  • Thanks to the hard work and dedication of the Citrus Heights Police Department, our crime-rate continues to decrease at record levels over the last few years.
  • We have made major strides to support the revitalization of the Sunrise Mall — which is still open for business!
  • Exciting new businesses are moving into our City, including Studio Movie Grill.

We can also look forward to new housing developments, our Complete Streets Plan, big opportunities for the Sylvan property, and more!

Once again, thank you for making this a great year for Citrus Heights. From our family to yours, the City of Citrus Heights wishes you a joyous and safe holiday season.

Sincerely,
Christopher W. Boyd
City Manager
