Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) continues to
move forward with plans to roll-out a new bus network, which will launch on
Sunday, September 8, 2019. The new bus system is user-friendly and has more direct routes. There are adjustments to almost every bus route, especially in the Northeast areas of the county - Citrus Heights, Fair Oaks, North Highlands and Rio Linda.
The SacRT Forward outreach team will be back on the buses to talk
with riders about the route changes and improvements. In the coming weeks,
SacRT will launch the SacRT Forward Outreach Bus and will be at different
community events to share information on the new bus network. Riders on the new network can look forward to better frequency, longer service hours and more weekend service. Recently extended light rail hours and SmaRT Ride options are expected to enhance the changes.
