Sacramento Regional Transit (SacRT) REDUCES Fares!


Sacramento Regional Transit REDUCES Fares! 

Fares could change as soon as October 2018! Basic single ride fares would decrease by 25 cents, from $2.75 to $2.50; discounted single rides would decrease by 10 cents, from $1.35 to $1.25;  and the paratransit single ride would decrease by 50 cents from $5.50 to $5. The basic monthly pass would decrease by $10, from $110 to $100; the discount monthly pass would decreaseby $5, from $55 to $50; and the super senior (over 75) fare would decrease by $2 from $42 to $40. and the paratransit single ride would decrease by 50 cents from $5.50 to $5.  Student Monthly Passes for students in grades K-12 became $20 in January 2018.  Riders who purchase a single ride ticket with cash can purchase a 25 cent transfer ticket between bus and light rail, light rail to bus, or bus to bus.

SacRT will increase weekend light rail service frequency from 30 minutes to 15 minutes starting in January 2019!  On Saturdays, the 15 minute service will operate 8 AM - 8 PM.  On Sundays and holidays, the 15 minute services will operate from 10 AM - 6 PM.  All other Saturday, Sunday and holiday light rail frequency will be 30 minute intervals.  SacRT is focused on building ridership and promoting a clean, safe and convenient system for its customers, grow ridership through fare reductions and other measures.  See  for more information.
