SacRT Forward! Citrus Heights public workshop on April 21!


Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) has launched SacRT Forward to study current transit usage and to create a new transit system network reflective of current travel patterns. 

SacRT’s planning and outreach teams will be seeking public input during the months of April and May using a series of pop-up workshops at community events. Below is a list of upcoming public workshops residents are invited to stop by and comment on the project. Full Public Outreach plan here

  • Saturday, April 21: 8 AM – 1 PM,  Sunrise Mall Farmer’s Market, Citrus Heights 
  • Sunday, April 22: 11 AM – 4 PM,  Sacramento Earth Day, Southside Park, Sacramento
  • Monday, April 23: 1 PM – TBD,  McGeorge School of Law, 3227 5th Ave, Sacramento 
  • Tuesday, April 24: 1 PM – 3 PM, Cosumnes River College Light Rail Station, Sacramento  
  • Thursday, April 26: 3 PM – 5 PM, 16th Street Light Rail Station, Sacramento 
  • Saturday, April 28: 11 AM – 3 PM,  Kids Day in the Park, Hagan Park, Rancho Cordova  
  • Tuesday, May 1: 3 PM – 5 PM,  Mather Field/Mills Light Rail Station, Rancho Cordova 
  • Thursday, May 3: 8 AM – 12 PM,  Florin/Sears Store Farmers’ Market, Florin Towne Centre, Sacramento
  • Tuesday, May 8: 3 PM – 5 PM,  Watt/I-80 Light Rail Station, Sacramento  
  • Saturday, May 12: 10 AM – 3 PM,  Healthy Kids Day, Golden 1 Center, Sacramento         
  • Saturday, May 19: 10 AM – 1 PM,  Community Carnival, Jefferson School Park, North Natomas 

Another series of workshops will be held in the fall to evaluate two proposed networks, to be developed by the SacRT Forward planning team based upon community and stakeholder input.
