Multi Modal Transportation Safety Program (MMTSP) Community Workshop #2

Tuesday, April 14, 2020

The City regularly receives requests for new signs, striping, crosswalks, speed humps, traffic calming and traffic enforcement. Neighborhood feedback is important as we decide how to process and prioritize requests for improvements. The Multi Modal Transportation Safety Program (MMTSP) will develop guidelines and procedures to initiate and evaluate requests: • Develop a clear & transparent process to address complaints, identify the best way to fix the issue, and outline when & how changes will be made • Develop a catalog of safety measures to address specific types of problems • Develop a way to prioritize citizen requests to address speeding, cut-through traffic, and other safety issues in their neighborhoods • Create a “tool” that allows the city to quickly respond to citizen requests and track the status of requests anywhere in the process • Give Citrus Heights residents tools to promote safety in their neighborhoods
