At the beginning of each calendar year, the Mayor appoints City Council Members to serve on 4 City Council committees that meet as needs arise. Additionally, the Mayor can appoint City Council Members to serve on new committees created to handle specific issues. The 4 committees that meet as needed are Finance and Administration, Quality of Life (Community Development Department and General Services Department issues), Legislative, and Law Enforcement.
